Imagine a future where energy is cheaper, greener and more secure – meet Origami Energy. This London-based tech company required a new monthly statement and supporting guide they could send to their growing customer base each month. They wanted to change any pre-conceptions of how an energy statement might be expected to look – it needed to look appealing and create a bit of a buzz on arrival. A fantastic brief for us, removing any design boundaries and giving our designers maximum creativity.

Following a planning day at Origami’s HQ, we produced various concepts that captured the unique identity of their brand. Inspired by – and incorporating – elements of Japanese Origami – the designs used the brand iconography and vibrant colour palette to sign post key information in a clear and logical way. The chosen concept represented a new user friendly and editable template that can easily be updated with customer specific information and shared electronically in just a few clicks.
The new monthly statement and supporting guide was successfully sent to Origami’s customer base in March 2017, and we’re delighted to receive such positive feedback from the team internally. Next step – to create an equally compelling customer communication plan and get better at origami!
