The Brief…

Supporter feedback to the Stroke Association indicated that many supporters would prefer to make a donation that they knew would go to help people affected by stroke in their local community. To meet this preference, the Stroke Association had recreated a dedicated micro-site that enabled local giving – a Committed Giving website. The new brief was to reinvigorate this micro-site and create a multi-channel campaign that would help drive local donations.

Yebo in action…

Following a collaborative planning session with the Stroke Association and Yebo teams we created a ‘Give Local’ campaign theme that single-mindedly sent a key message that people affected by stroke in your local community need your help.

The campaign identity played out across many channels including direct mail, website, social media, pay per click and supporting internal communications too. It responded to the supporter need of wanting their donations to be used locally, specifically targeting them by where they lived – England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland.

Following a successful campaign refresh, we created a multi-channel experience for stroke supporters to choose how they wanted to engage and support the campaign. The refreshed website is built on a bespoke development on the popular WordPress platform.

The results

The new, user friendly, responsive website ensures visitors to the site have the best possible experience at each stage of their online journey, no matter what device used. Early response and feedback on the direct mail is extremely positive too so we’re hoping to see some big numbers for local giving very soon!
